History: The original business McNamara's Hardware also known as Macs was started by the present owners late father Patrick McNamara { affectionately know as Paddy } in 1925 .Even at that early stage Paddy could see the opening for a Mill, a fuel yard and a small general store. Paddy was a man ahead of his time, for a number of years the local farmers could bring in their corn or grain to get it rolled or milled according to their preference. Sadly the mill itself is no longer in use but the rest of the business has moved on, but the personal touch and friendliness of the staff is still the same.
As a general hardware store we have been supplying people with materials and household goods for a long time without them needing to travel further a field. We aim to give customers the best value for money on our products. As John Nash the brilliant Mathematician who's study in the field of game theory concluded, the only true way two people win is when both parties benefit from a deal or transaction. Otherwise a relationship is more likely to be destroyed if one party takes advantage of the other. As a family run business since 1925 we have always understand it is important to provide the best service to the local communities and our customers to ensure a good relationship.
